'The Friends of Letocetum'

Great news for 2019! We have made additions to our dates of opening.

Please see our 'Museum Opening Days' page for the extra dates, 'Talks and Lectures' page for details of tours around the site at Wall and our 'News' page for information about this year's 'Easter Egg Trail'.

A group of volunteers, 'The Friends of Letocetum,' was formed in 2008, primarily to facilitate the re-opening of the Museum at Wall.

Wall (Letocetum) is quite unique in the fact that it is one of only a small number of sites in the UK which are under the guardianship of both National Trust and English Heritage. National Trust own the land on which the site (Mansio and Bath House) is located, and English Heritage is the custodian, providing upkeep of the ruins and surrounding land as well as the maintenance of the Museum.

The site is open all year round, but the group of National Trust Volunteers, 'The Friends of Letocetum,' enable the Museum to be open at specific times during the year. These Museum Open Days, between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm, are during the last weekend of every month between March and October as well as all Bank Holiday weekends in that period. (See 'Museum Opening Days' page for extra dates.)
